There's a new show I could be interested in......
Friends, Romans, fl*sters, it's been a interesting day. There I was minding my own business mooching round Pinterest.  When I spotted a new Christian Kane picture......

credit Anna Tollison

As I sat there drooling helplessly, I noticed the comment "Christian Kane as Jake Stone from The Librarians."
Jake who? The what? Hang on could there be some new show or film of Kane's I didn't know about. A little bit of bouncing around ye olde web later, and Boom! I hit pay dirt *Bounces*. Before I gibber joyfully, let me show you a trailer!

I have to say I loved the three Librarian films.  they were fun, easy to watch and had Noah Wyle (also the reason I watched E.R. and  Falling Skies) and were the forerunner of the much lamented Warehouse 13.

So here we have the premise, shamelessly ripped off from publicity blurbs...

“The Librarians” centers on an ancient organization hidden beneath the Metropolitan Public Library that solves impossible mysteries, fights supernatural threats and recovers powerful artifacts from around the world. For the past 10 years, Flynn Carsen (Wyle) has served as the Librarian, collecting and protecting these artifacts and preventing them from falling into the wrong hands. But as great as Flynn is, the job of Librarian has become more than one person can handle. To aid him in his duties, the Library has recruited four people from around the world: Eve Baird (Romijn), a highly skilled counter-terrorism agent who is responsible for protecting the group and keeping them all alive; Jake Stone (Kane), an Oklahoma oil worker with an IQ of 190 and an encyclopedic knowledge of art history; Cassandra (Booth), a quirky young woman with the special gift of auditory and sensory hallucinations linked to memory retrieval, known as synesthesia; and Ezekiel Jones (Kim), a master of new technologies and aficionado of old classic crimes who enjoys playing the role of international man of mystery. Overseeing the new team of Librarians is the cantankerous Jenkins (Larroquette), an expert in ancient lore who has been working out of the Library’s branch office for longer than anyone knows. Together, they must tangle with many adversaries, chief of whom is the Serpent Brotherhood, an ancient cult led by the mysterious immortal Dulaque (Frewer).

Now it seems the Warehouse might be back in another form! And to be honest I won't be too sad, as I loved that show, and best of all it has Christian Kane!  And Jake it appears is not the muscle, I wonder how Kane feels about that?  Having listened to the Leverage episode commentaries, trust me Christian really likes his action scenes. He used to be bored to death by Hardison's exposition scenes, and now somewhere Aldis Hodge is laughing his ass off *G*

But you know what makes this even better? Universal channel in the UK is going to screen it! Yes for once within 24 hours of the U.S of A we should be able to watch this.  So who feels like joining me, in a little light viewing?
I'm hoping for fun, frolics, Christian Kane, although i miss his long hair. I'm just so happy to see him back on the TV.

I'm excited about this. Any chance you know when this is going to air?

Thanks for sharing!

Believe me I'm very excited, and it seems the show will screen late this year. Even better, John Rogers from Leverage is involved, so he knows what Kane is capable of.

Bring it on!

Gah! That show looks like fun, but no TNT in Canada and, from my brief searching, doesn't look like it's going to be here any time soon :( Will check out the movies though!

It does look like a lot of fun, and no TNT in Canada? Oh man that sucks. The films were a lot of fun and I'd reconmmend them.

Another Librarian fan. I'm really looking forward to this one and I also watched the three movies because of Noah Wyle. Flynn was so adorably out of his depth early on but adapted pretty quickly.

Do you have a premiere date??? Want to make sure I don't miss it.

Think a re-watch is on my agenda for today.
sasha_dragonsasha_dragon on July 8th, 2014 12:20 pm (UTC)
Those films were just so much fun, and I loved Noah as Flynn.

Unfortunately I don't have a premiere date, all I can find out is the show will screen later in the year. But I will keep on checking to see if we get more information.

Go for the re-watch!

I am equal parts excited as FUCK and a little sad that Noah won;t be doing it *pouts&squees* Roll on the new film baby!
sasha_dragonsasha_dragon on July 8th, 2014 12:21 pm (UTC)
I agree with you, but apparently Noah will appear in some episodes of the show. Ten new adventures are heading our way! I can't wait to see them.

Me either, I'm literally bouncing in my seat thinking about it! And as long as Noah makes an appearance I'm all good :D

I swear on my Supernatural DVD collection it's true. There's even an introduction to Kane's cast mates on You Tube here

I've briefly heard about this, the only other thing I can update on is that it's going to be airing on Universal Channel in December, according to GeekTown. I don't know anything about it, but I'm in anyway! lol
