Hey, hope you don't mind me bumping my nose in, but your post showed up in my messages, so I thought I'd come over and say hi.

So... hi!

How about 28 and 36?

Hey, Sash, Brat meant to ask for 14 too ;) ♥

Well sure-- why not. ;)

Hi there, it's always fun to meet new people, thank you for asking a question.

28. Share three of your favorite fic writers and why you like them so much.

Oooh starting with an easy one, I have so many favorite writers I could be here all day. But if I have to narrow it down to three here goes.

gaelicspirit I love her stories, she weaves a brilliant narrative and I'm a sucker for her hurt/comfort. She writes in several fandoms and she handles each one brilliantly.

stir_of_echoes What can I say about this writer? I've been in awe of her talent since the first story I read. I think hers were the first J2 stories I read, and I was blown away by the emotion and just how hot they were. I still get excited when I see she's written another story.

bertee Sadly she's no longer active, she had the great ability to write comedy and angst often in the same story. I loved her version of Jensen and I still miss her stories.

36. Talk about a review that made your day.

All reviews make my day, I’m just so happy that someone has taken the time to leave a comment. Seeing that someone likes my stories enough to leave a review encourages me to keep going.

14. What’s the worst writing advice you’ve ever come across?

Worst writing advice? I wouldn’t call it advice as such, but it was one of my mum’s usual pieces of encouragement. As I sat scribbling away one day, she turned to me and asked to why I wasted my time writing silly stories, when I could be making millions writing children’s books. Now if you know the kind of stories I write you can only imagine my response to that! If I wrote children’s literature I’d be carted off to jail for mentally scarring them.

I laughed pretty hard over those last two sentences. :P

(Also, always nice to get a couple of new writers to investigate.)

I'm so glad I made you laugh! Honestly the thought of a J2 writer, writing children's fiction really is the stuff of nightmares!

Go on then, 3 and 5 :D

Right then let's see shall we....

3. Is there a trope you wouldn’t touch with a ten foot pole?

That's easy, a death fic! I'll happily beat someone to within an inch of their life, but kill them? Nope I could never do that.

5. Share one of your strengths.

I don't think I have many strengths, but there is one thing I hope I do well and that's humor.I love to try and make people laugh.

20, 23 and 28 please miss! ♥

*Waves* I like your questions, but I've already answered 28 up above.

20. Describe your perfect writing conditions.

To start with I love having music playing, now with mum being around being a pain that means headphones, but at least it drowns her out.

Speaking of my mum, having her in a different part of house or better yet a different part of the country really helps with writing conditions.

Finally being guilt free really gets the muse up and around, I feel constantly guilty that I haven't kept up with leaving comments, so I try to do both and my story writing is the one that usually suffers.

23. If you were to revise one of your older fics from start to finish, which would it be and why?

I'd probably revise all of them! Honestly when I go back and look at them again,I can see everything I did wrong and I want to try and put it right.

I did end up revising Take Care Of You, it really only started out as a bit of cosmetic editing, and then ended up with a full revision. But I was really able to revise a fic it would be the great unfinished work, Hell Is Other People I can see so much I'd like to alter. For a start there would be chunks just cut out, there's way too much babbling, just make the story leaner and flow better.

Cool, I'll check it out ♥

As for #20 dude, we get how busy you are and not everyone has the ability to be online like woah, just cos I do it doesn't mean all should or can. Stop with the guilt and write, we need for Sasha fic! And lol! We could always club together and buy your Mama a holiday for a fortnight!

#23 I look at my stuff and sometimes think I should, but then I get uber lazy. the only one I would def do is Dick Move Winchester, the grammar is atrocious, the story I like though.

Let's go from the top - 1 & 2 please!
sasha_dragonsasha_dragon on September 16th, 2017 06:28 pm (UTC)
From the top it is then!

1. Describe your comfort zone—a typical you-fic

A typical me fic, is simple hurt/comfort with angst, humor and banter between the characters. That's where I'm most comfortable.

2. Is there a trope you’ve yet to try your hand at, but really want to?

So many tropes, so little time *G* Of all the tropes I wnat to try I'd love to write a Wing Fic. I've got a couple of ideas, one was a Sam/Dean but the other which is more promising is a J2 and it keeps calling to me.

JJ1564jj1564 on September 18th, 2017 08:41 pm (UTC)
Oooh, I'd love to read a Wing fic by you!

And I think you are so great at combining h/c with humour :)
