Here I Go Again! The Lap Top Saga Continues.
Friends, Romans, Fl*sters, I'm here seeking your wise counsel once again.  The ongoing sasga of the lap top is the reason I'm here, as you know I've had problems with the old girl in the last few months. The whole turning it on is a problem, and after it's last visit to PC world in July I thought I'd have at least until christmas before things turned ugly.

Well that's what I thought, but recently the problem has started up again, and this morning as I switched it on I got that lovely poping sound,

Now my problem is this, do I try and get it looked at again, or do I bite the bullet ask for my Christmas money and go purchase a new lap top. Before this one goes phhhuuuufffttt.  Just to make things more interesting the sale at PC world is only on until Wednesday, so the clock is now ticking.

So dear ladies what should I do, finally admit defeat or run the risk of a melt down of both me and the lap top?

Booooo :(

Sorry to hear about poor laptop. I, myself, would vote for taking the Christmas money and getting an all-new shiny, but far be it for me to tell you how to plan your christmas ...

No you're spot on, it's time to say goodbye to my long suffering laptop. She's been a good and faithful servant, I'll miss her.

Although I did nearly throttle mum when sh said it wouldn't matter if it went phuuft. After All I don't do anything important on it........

Just her usual well you don't use it for work, so it's not important. I can't even begin to try and explain.

Screw PC World. Their 'sale' comprises putting a 400 quid laptop up by 200 quid for six weeks then bringing it down to its original price in the sale and shouting about it.

My advice is wait for Black Friday (November 21st) when there will be some great, genuine reductions. And buy from John Lewis. They won't hard sell you a load of extra crap you don't need and you get a two year guarantee.

Thank for the advice, I'll try and ease her through the next few weeks and see what happens.

I'd say buy a new one from someone reputable. Take your time and look around. They have come down so much in price these days. I've had mine most of this year and I absolutely love it. It makes life so much easier.

Yay for John Lewis. I bought a mouse and headphones in London two years ago and talked to a very lovely sales assistant about Adam and Queen. He was a fan. So I was pretty impressed with the service, as you can imagine.

Yup it's time to start shopping around for a new laptop. I've already been on the John Lewis webbsite, and I've got my eye on a nice new shiny laptop *G*

I'd honestly invest in a new one now honey, because she's obviously on her way completely out *hugs* I'm sorry she didn't get completely fixed! ♥

Yeah it really looks like it's time to start shopping around. I have a feeling that this was going to be the final outcome. I just hope she holds it together until helatus!

Have you thought about trying a catalogue? Easy payments over time.

I'd say if you need to buy a new laptop, save the money for the repair and spend it on the new item. :)

It's starting to look like a new laptop is the way forward.

Sorry hon, but it's time to bite the bullet, get the new laptop, and move forward!
