Computer Woes, the story contiunes.
Friends, Romans, Fl*sters, well as you know they're have been fun and games with me and technology. I'm here to tell you about the latest installment and to say here and now....It's Not My bllody Fault.

Ok so let's go back to when I went on holiday to Scotland, while I was away my work computer was upgraded.  Now as you know when I returned I suffered the loss of all my pictures, but it seemed that wasn't the only problem our darling I.T. department inflicted on me.

Imagine a month goes by and I think all is well, despite a nagging feeling I'm missing something.  Turns out I was right i was missing something, a bloody anti virus program! Yes they struck again, I'm about the fourth person they forgot to install said Anti Virus.  How did I find out? well when Adware locked me out of the company bank account.

After bleating to I.T, they installed the software and I scanned my computer, 10 infected files later and I thought the problem was cured.  Was it heck! Every time I log into LJ I get adds everywhere, and today as I tried to log into Twitter I was informed my account was suspended due to viruses on my computer.

As luck would have it I haven't been writing stories in my lunch time, so all I used my USB for was uploading my pictures, I've not downloaded anything onto it. But it does mean for the foseeable future i won't be scribbling at lunch, I daren't risk bringing a virus back.

So in case you're wondering, yes I am pissed!  For all I know I could've infected my Fl*sts computers, I'm bloody mortified.

All I want to know is....why bloody me?

Jesus! What a bunch of idiots! What kind of tech support doesn't install, check, and double check anti-virus software?

Oh my God, you guys should totally check the office bank account. If you've done banking in the interim and there was a Trojan or keystroke logger on there, it could have been emptied by now! If you've done personal banking on that computer, call your bank and change the passwords. I had my entire account wiped out to the last cent at Christmas six years ago because of a keystroke logger.

Don't be embarrassed, none of it is your fault. The techies, however, should hang their heads in shame.

Contact Twitter and tell them it's been rectified. They should connect your account again if they know it's now safe.

For god sake, what is WRONG with your IT department!!

Don't be embarassed hun, this was NOT your fault, and you at least caught it in time to not infect anything on your home system, but they may wanna check the bank account, stat! *hugs*

Wow, I thought *our* IT guys were incompetent.

I have no suggestions for solving your hardware problem, but as for your writing - I think you would be safe writing in Google docs and saving your stories to Google drive. Then you can access them from any computer and not worry about transfering files from one computer to another.
