Friends, Romans, Fl*sters, long time no see! I thought I’d drop by to remind you I’m still about, and give you a little update on what’s happening with me. To start with my computer time has been cut back a little, it’s a combination of getting home later from work, walking the dogs when Steve gets home from work and mum giving me the stink eye if I go to pick up the lap top after nine. I still manage to get a little time after everyone’s gone to bed, but sometimes I’m just to knackered to comment on posts. So I promise to keep popping up when I can and bugging you all.
I have been writing again, but once more writers block has chased my poor little muse under the bed. So while I’m waiting for her to reemerge I’ll do a little reading and commenting, although I not sure if I can keep up with my fl*st, I don’t know about LJ being quiet my little corner of it is very busy *G*.
I’m also here to do a little flailing, me and the other half are going to be gadding about. We’re going away for a couple of weekends. Let’s start in reverse order shall we? In December we shall be hitting three Christmas markets. Steve is a very nervous man, me plus Christmas markets equals more decorations for the goth Christmas tree! I can’t wait. The three cites we’re heading to are Oxford, Salisbury and wait for it ….. WINCHESTER!!!!!!!! Yes, I’m finally going to the boys name sake and I can’t wait, it’s just a shame we’re going with a coach tour and I won’t be able to spend all day there.
Now we come to the trip we will be taking on the 10th of September, before I squee everywhere I’ll just set the scene shall I? Occasionally we’ve been known to escape from my mother, and we tend to go with a company called Parrys International. They’re quite well known in the midlands, and so far we’ve been to Italy, Germany, Paris, Scotland, several trips to London and various cities around England with them.
Back in March the latest brochure arrived and Steve sat flicking through it, suddenly he stopped and looked at me, “Tomorrow morning get on the phone and book us two tickets for this trip.” He handed me the brochure covered his ears and waited for the squeeing to start. I had to read the page twice before it sunk in, Parrys had only started doing the Harry Potter Studio tour!
I booked the trip for the 10th September, and Steve told me to consider it his wedding anniversary gift!
Have I mentioned just how much I love that man? Not only does he put up with my mother which makes him a saint as far as I’m concerned, but he’s pretty chill about me being a fan girl. This is the man who’d never seen a Harry Potter movie, but he took me to watch the Deathly Hallows part 2, because I’d got no one to go with. Now that’s what I call love.
Ladies please spare my long suffering other half a thought that weekend, as he’ll be being dragged from place to place with me jabbering excitedly down his ear. And I’ve told him he’ll have to make sure I don’t go berserk in the gift shop. I’ve been getting ready for the trip by watching the films again, and it’s only taken me a week to watch all of them. Damn I love being a geek!
So that is the very excited state of the dragon and fingers crossed I’ll be seeing you all soon.
