Friends, Romans, Fl*sters, I'm here today to do a little non Supernatural flailing so I will understand if you run past this post a speed *G*  As I sit here at my desk with my ears ringing and happily reliving last night's truly awesome Iron Maiden concert, I can't believe it has taken me thirty years to actually see a band I love! And you know what it was worth the bloody wait, I cheered, clapped, screamed along with the songs and I can't believe that a bloke who turned 60 yesterday (Nico the drummer got us to sing happy birthday, much to Bruce's embarrassment) managed to pull off this look with style and aplomb...

oh dear me
Dear sweet shy retiring Mr Dickinson! Oh be still my heaving hormones! I had quite a thing for Bruce in my youth, and after seeing him last night it seems it hasn't quite died away yet *G*

This is the Legacy of The Beast tour is kind of a greatest hits show based around their mobile phone game, and the staging was truly epic, from the full sized Spitfire flying over the band's head during Aces High

To Bruce having way too much fun with those bloody flame throwers during Flight of Icharus according to Steve.

And just look at this beauty of a stage set that emerged as they played Revelations
The production value on this tour is stunning, and the band have let Bruce indulge in his flair for the dramatic and camp as seen in his duel with Eddie during The Trooper!

Steve was really impressed with the way Bruce was swinging the sword around in his left hand, he was even more impressed when I pointed out Bruce is actually right handed but fences with his left hand! I got little piece of trivia courtesy of his Autobiography.

It really was an epic night, there were fans of all ages, families bringing their children to their first concert, teenagers and those of us who really should be old enough to know better. We can still head bang with the rest of them, but end up with a stiff neck in the morning, I'll give you three guesses who that was *G*

I really hope they release this on DVD because the show is amazing, and I promise to be a good girl if I can get my hands on a copy.....ok mostly a good girl *G*

Before I go I just have to tell you this, when I was talking to Josh on Monday I told him about the gig and he started to laugh. I asked him what was so funny and this was his response, "Iron Maiden's at the Genting Arena on Tuesday, and then there's a Jehovah's Witness Convention on the next two weekends."

I replied, "Perhaps the management are just purifying the arena after we're through with it!" Josh will happy to know the place was still in one piece when we all left.

Who knows maybe I'll get to see them again one day, but if not it was one hell of a night! Thank you Maiden for being one of the most enduring Metal bands out there, I still live in hope that Supernatural will use one of their songs one day.

Wow, that looked incredible! I hope your hearing has recovered - I SAID I HOPE YOUR HEARING HAS RECOVERED! Hee hee! Bruce does look good for 60 and he does fencing, doesn't he, so he should be good for a sword fight! I'm pleased you had such a great night :)

*Cups hand to ear* What????? *G* It only took three days for my ears to stop ringing, and Bruce was in brilliant form both vocally and the way he bounced round the stage like Tigger on a sugar rush.

Those pics really look like it was an impressive show :)))

It's nice that you were able to watch IM on stage, even if it took you 30 years :D
