Ponderings of a facebook nature.
Friends, Romans,f'listers! lend me you ears and opinions.  I keep hearing about the wonders of facebook, and have considered getting an account.  My only problem is that here I feel free to be myself...ie idiot with tenancies to ramble, not many filters in place and generally able to be me.

Now it seems on facebook you have to give your name, and to be honest there are plenty on facebook I'd like to avoid like the plague.  Namely most of the little darlings I work with, and I think I'd miss being able to be utterly random and prone to gibbering on.

So come on and explain to me why facebook is so wonderful, and if any of you are on it and how to keep in contact with you!  Come enquiring minds really need to know.

I would be mortified if people found out my LJ that I know. I was stuttering my way through Wincest to my sisters the other day!

I can understand that one! my boss knows I write fic, and I printed out my Supernatural-Glee crossover the other day for her. She's also aware of some of my other fics, but for the most part no one knows exactly what I get up to!

I can just imagine me trying to explain J2! and that's before you get to the bracelet verse I write. My mum keeps asking me what I'm writing....one day I'm going to run out of excuses.

Supernatural-Glee crossover? Must... read.. *Grin*

I tried to explain Wincest and my younger sisters kept saying "so... do they still write them as brothers, or just gay?" and they couldn't understand it. Then I was telling them about AU J2 and they were like.. "Oh! That's fine!"

The uncorrupt minds of non-SPN-fangirlness.

*Shakes head in disapproval*

I even hide my love from my fiance. I mean, we watch SPN together and he knows that I love Dean and every move he makes just makes me guh. But he doesn't know. At least, I don't think he does.

He doesn't understand, y'know.

...MEN. Just men. Fictional men are A-OK, but real men? Who needs 'em.

I wrote that this week for a challenge on Dean_Sam, damn it was fun.

As for those kind of explanations...well I tried last year when I took a friend from work to Asylum! poor girl was utterly shell shocked! talk about a rude awakening *G* But she gets it now.

My long suffering other half just rolls his eyes at me and refers to Jensen as the bow legged wonder. I laugh and then kick him in the shin.

I can second that opinion, fictional men are so much easier to deal with *G*
